RR Archiving Store/HQ Database

The “Microsoft Retail Management System – Store Operations” (hereafter referred to as RMS) does not have an inbuilt method for taking out data from the existing database, compacting and reducing the size of the active database whilst keeping an archive of the old data for reporting and audit purposes. This Retail Realm utility was developed to address this short coming. Copy the live data to archive database Truncate: Delete the live data Both: Copy the live data to archive database and delete from live When you specify "Archive Date" on start screen, the program copies all data from store database into Archive and delete all transactional data up to "Archive Date". Date is inclusive.
